“We can only celebrate when we all are able to serve humans at our full potential.”
That’s how Huckleberry House, Inc.. closed its testimony to Columbus City Council and Mayor Andrew J. Ginther at an important hearing earlier this month.
This is a moment for gratitude, and action.
The City of Columbus and Franklin County have been tremendous allies of the health and human services sector and the people they serve.
But with needs spiking once again, further investment is needed to help our community through this precarious moment in Covid recovery.
The debt ceiling deal will create new demands on our sector, and the new state budget is expected to do the same.
Coupled with the end of the Covid emergency, we are eager to work with the City + County to shape new ARPA investments to and through nonprofits.
