HFF families and staff work diligently to shield Columbus families and children from eviction, from entering a shelter, and especially from becoming homeless. We are hosting our first JustChristmas with a goal of raising $2,500 in gift cards for JustChoice families in need. So far, we have 12 families signed up to be loved on and we would like to fill them up! It might be just Christmas - but for the pregnant people and the people parenting on the margins it is our chance to bring them real joy.
Gift cards include Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Target, or Amazon. Gift cards can be picked up by our staff or can be sent / dropped off to the YWCA Columbus anytime in December starting 12/4. Also, virtual gift cards can be sent to emma@justchoice.org!

Children ages 2-12 will learn about food insecurity and assemble holiday treat-making kits with cards for clients at Broad Street Food Pantry. All supplies will be provided. Families are asked to collect food donations ahead of time and then bring them to the Broad Street Food Pantry on the day of the event. We will provide a flyer in your confirmation email to help your child conduct their own neighborhood food drive if you choose.

Donors shop, wrap, and then drop gifts off to SVFS! Fill out this survey to tell us how many children you would like to adopt, and we will match you with a child in need. Donors typically expect to spend about $100 per child.

Free to participate, but donations are appreciated. This space and experience is designed for ALL curious chess explorers, whether someone has never played or if someone has played their whole life!
