We are delighted to announce two renewed investments from our partners at The Columbus Foundation and the City of Columbus in HSC’s capacity-building services that first launched in November 2022.
A total of $527,000 has been awarded for HSC to provide human resources, legal services, communications, climate strategy, financial management, development, and cybersecurity through 2024. Our capacity-building work will continue to be led by Deputy Director Bhumika Patel, and will feature two of our colleagues whose work is funded by these investments: Communications Director Bria Bennett, and Director of Climate Strategy, Rachael Beeman.
Our partnership with The Columbus Foundation and the City of Columbus reflects their and our commitment to capacity-building across the health and human services sector, with dollars that will continue supporting our ~200 member agencies in the Columbus Region.
Investments in nonprofit infrastructure like these create equitable access to an array of high-quality professional services and save individual agencies significant dollars. With these savings, nonprofits can redirect precious dollars into supporting not only the people they serve, but the people they employ.
We believe the consequence of this continued effort will be a stronger and more efficient health and human services sector that is prepared for the rising tide of community needs anticipated in the years ahead.
We’re grateful for the chance to facilitate this work with the same urgency and efficacy of services that our members provide day after day.
