Director of Operations & Member Experience
Lindsay Barber is HSC's Director of Operations & Member Experience. In this role, she supports and manages HSC's back-office functions, and serves as another point of contact for member organizations. Lindsay brings diverse and invaluable experience in the fiscal, operational, staffing, and fundraising needs of nonprofits--and a strong passion for HSC's work. A Cleveland native, Lindsay moved to Columbus in 2017, at which time she fell in love with Central Ohio’s nonprofit sector. She has previously worked for three HSC members over the last seven years, including as Director of Operations at NSI Food Pantry, where her nonprofit career began as a volunteer.
Lindsay is a 2024 Leadership Columbus graduate and holds a BBA in Marketing from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. She now lives in North Linden with her husband David and their beloved rescue dogs, Harold and Pugsley.
Policy Associate

Lauren is a 2024 graduate of Oberlin College, where she earned a BA in Sociology, with a minor in Africana Studies, and a concentration in Education Studies. A member of Oberlin’s varsity volleyball team, Lauren worked for the Ninde Scholars Program, a college access initiative supporting underrepresented middle and high school students. OUR HISTORY
Founded in 2010, nonprofit leaders conceived HSC to help the health and human services sector come together, with one voice, to improve services to the people they served, and the Columbus Region as a whole.
Qiana Williams was the founding Executive Director of the Human Service Chamber of Franklin County in 2010. Under Qiana’s leadership, HSC grew from 12 initial members to 69 in its first year. During her tenure, HSC produced an economic impact report demonstrating that nonprofits generated $1.2 billion dollars for the local economy. Qiana also led advocacy efforts to restore more than $12,000,000 in funding from ADAMH and the City of Columbus.
Qiana currently serves as the EVP & Chief People Officer at Oregon Health & Science University.
Yvonne Cherell joined the Human Service Chamber of Franklin County in 2012 becoming the second Executive Director of the agency. During her tenure, Yvonne created the membership’s first public policy agenda focusing on key local and state advocacy areas and was instrumental in securing nearly $500K in local funding for human service agencies.
Yvonne currently serves as the CEO of the Ohio Urban Community Action Network (OUCAN), a statewide network comprised of nine urban community action agencies.
