Clinical Social Worker (Contract)
The Clinical Social Worker develops and facilitates support and psychoeducational groups focused on grief support, caregiver support, and community-based trauma response and resilience-building. This role provides compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care in both group and individual settings, supporting the well-being of clients and the broader community.
This position requires significant knowledge of life in the Jewish community, including familiarity with Jewish traditions, lifecycle events, and community norms. The Clinical Social Worker also builds relationships with synagogues and other community partners to promote access to services and strengthen community engagement.
This is a contract position with a flexible, variable schedule, including required evening availability.
Required Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program and current Ohio Social Work licensure; LISW preferred.
· Demonstrated experience in clinical counseling, group facilitation, and mental health support.
· Background in grief support, caregiver support, and community-based trauma response and resilience-building
· Experience working within or closely with the Jewish community, including familiarity with Jewish traditions, lifecycle events, and community norms, and the ability to provide culturally responsive care.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and a flexible work schedule.
· Comfort and proficiency in using technology, including video conferencing and Microsoft 365.
· Commitment to the NASW Code of Ethics, confidentiality standards, and professional boundaries.
Essential Job Responsibilities
· Collaborate with Clinical Team members to develop and facilitate support and psychoeducational groups based on community needs
· Provide individual and family counseling services, including assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
· Lead outreach and marketing efforts to promote support groups, including developing relationships with synagogues and other community partners to increase awareness and participation.
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in CaseWorthy in accordance with agency requirements.
· Connect clients to additional services and supports within Jewish Family Services and the broader community, as appropriate
· Consistently upholds Jewish Family Services’ mission, values, and service standards, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and appropriate clinical boundaries in all interactions
