YWCA Columbus is seeking an energetic, creative, and cutting-edge professional to join our team as the Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, you will be responsible for all traditional and digital communications, marketing efforts, and branding for YWCA Columbus. As an integral member of the leadership team, you will work closely with industry leaders and the community to promote the YWCA Columbus brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Develops and implements an integrated strategic marketing and communications plan to advance YWCA Columbus’ brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences.
· Responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications program, with an emphasis on digital communications, that will enhance the Organization’s image and position within the marketplace.
· Proactively seeks out digital trends, evolving platforms, best practices, and new tools, making recommendations on new technologies, tools, and vendors to further the effectiveness and productivity of the marketing and communications team.
· Oversees and collaborates with Senior Communications Strategist on public relations, advertising, and social media campaigns.
· Collaborates with Event Manager, Director of Engagement, Senior Communications Strategist, Creative Services Manager, and other team members to create strategic event marketing and communications plans that clearly defines goals and outcomes for two major fundraising events: Women of Achievement and Activists and Agitators.
· Oversees the day-to-day activities of the Marketing and Communications Department including budgeting, out-of-pocket expense tracking, planning and staff development.
Successful candidates will have a four-year degree in marketing, communications, organizational communication or a related field. Five years of progressively increasing responsibility in an advertising/marketing agency, nonprofit organization and three years of supervisory experience is also required. Experience with the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities is required.
