HSC Adds Operations and Membership Manager, Lindsay Barber

Lindsay Barber is the Operations and Membership Manager for the Human Service Chamber. In this role, she will support and manage HSC’s back-office functions, and will serve as another point of contact for member organizations as we seek to help the helpers of our community. Lindsay brings diverse and invaluable experience in the fiscal, operational, staffing, and fundraising needs of nonprofits–and a strong passion for HSC’s work! A Cleveland native, Lindsay moved to Columbus in 2017, at which time she fell in love with Central Ohio’s nonprofit sector. She has previously worked for three HSC members over the last seven years, including as Director of Operations at NSI Food Pantry, where her nonprofit career began as a volunteer. 

Lindsay wishes for all human services nonprofits to be empowered to invest as much of their limited time and resources as possible into their programs and the frontline staff who execute them. Bringing lived experience to the work, she knows that one human falling through a service gap is one too many. For this reason, she is enthusiastic about organizational efficiency, strategy, and nonprofit operations – the unglamorous but necessary tasks that allow an organization to thrive.

Lindsay is a 2024 Leadership Columbus graduate and holds a BBA in Marketing from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. She now lives in North Linden with her husband David and their beloved rescue dogs, Harold and Pugsley.
