Holiday Drives 2020!

We asked our members to tell us all about their holiday drives this December. Please see the list below and follow the links for more information about how you can help our community at this tumultuosu time.

  • Alvis
    • Toy drive; For our kids- art supplies, crafts, etc.
    • Adopt a Family for Holiday Wishes
  • Besa
    • Supplies for vulnerable seniors
    • Want to make the holidays brighter for our seniors? Help stock their homes with essential needs including hand towels, soap, and toilet paper. Check out Besa’s Amazon Wish List to shop and ship directly to the North Pole!
  • Bishop Griffin Resource Center
    • Twin size cotton blanket, one per family during December. Goal is 500 blankets
  • Catholic Social Services
    • Clothing drive, gift card drive for the Our Lady of Guadalupe Center:
      • Pots and Pans, Kitchen Utensils, Kitchen Towels, Winter Boots (any size), Winter Gloves (any size), and Kroger or Walmart Gift Cards. Please call 614-340-7061 to schedule a drop-off.
  • Center for Healthy Families
    • Toy drive, Food drive (canned goods, etc.), Clothing drive:
    • Gifts for families focus on basic needs
  • Central Community House
    • Toy drive, Clothing drive

  • Childhood League Center
    • Holiday meal (meal service), Food drive (canned goods, etc.); Grocery gift cards for perishables
  • Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center
    • Toy drive, Food drive (canned goods, etc.); PPE and small gift cards
    • We are collecting filled “stockings” for children and adults.
  • Columbus Early Learning Centers
    • Toy drive; Adopt a Child for the Holidays and CELC Curriculum Book Drive
    • Support CELC at our COVID Safe events in December! Contact Amy Roberts, Director of Development at aroberts@columbusearlylearning.org for additional information!
  • Communities in Schools of Ohio
    • Toy drive, Holiday meal (meal service), Food drive (canned goods, etc.), Clothing drive
    • We are planning to collect and distribute academic and enrichment activity bags to students at all grade levels to help keep them academically engaged and learning while schools are remote and shut down
  • Creative Living
    • Virtual Giving Tree
  • Directions for Youth & Families
    • JOY AT HOME – for the family. Snuggle blankets, board games, popcorn, hot chocolate. $25.00 gift cards
  • Harmony Project
    • We have adopted Sullivant Gardens Recreation Center and they have provided an Amazon Wish List of clothes and toys for people to purchase
  • Homeless Families Foundation
    • Toy drive, Food drive (canned goods, etc.)
    • Housing “Move-in” Kit supplies (new items including the following types of items; cleaning supplies, linen/bedding, small appliances (toaster, coffeemaker, microwave), gift cards for misc. items.
    • Monetary donations to assist with emergency rent and utility assistance and/or other emergency family/child needs.
  • IMPACT Community Action
    • Clothing Drive (Coats): Our youth services and homeless youth are in need of winter coats, gloves
  • Jewish Family Services
    • We do an annual drive for “adopted” families in need during the winter holidays. Families receive food cards and this year will receive gift cards rather than wrapped presents, due to COVID.

  • Kipp Columbus

    • Amazon Wishlist for essential supplies which are distributed to families throughout the winter

  • LifeCare Alliance

    • Delivery of Meals-on-Wheels and Adopt-a-Family for Columbus Cancer Clinic families

  • Mid-Ohio Food Collective
    • Holiday meal (meal service), Food drive (canned goods, etc.)
    • Encourage customers to visit a Partner Agency to connect to nutritious food and groceries for the holidays – most offering a vehicle drive-thru distribution. Learn locations, hours, safety protocol and information at: FreshTrak.com Visit Mid-Ohio Kitchen at Roots at the Reeb Avenue Center every Tuesday for ‘grab and go’ nutritious meals! We require all to wear masks, wash hands and practice social distancing.
  • North Community Counseling Centers
    • Clothing drive
    • On December 18th, we are hosting a Community Coat Drive at our North Office. Bring a newly purchased coat to our drive-thru event being held at our North Office. Donations will benefit NCCC Clients and Faith Mission Shelter.
  • South Side Early Learning

  • St. Stephen’s Community House

    • We are collecting food to be distributed during Christmas Cares, Unions Share. Food must be delivered no later than 12/4.

  • United Schools Network
    • Toy drive
    • Our elementary schools, United Preparatory Academy-State St. and United Preparatory Academy-East provide toys for each student in the school and an opportunity for siblings to also receive a toy. We are looking for 800-900 toys for ages 5-12.
  • YMCA of Central Ohio
