Letter from the Executive Director

Coronavirus Response

In this unprecedented moment in modern American history, I am confident of two things:

This will get worse. And this will get better.

As Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton have advised us in the last few days, we will all have to make unique sacrifices in the weeks and months ahead. Daily life is being disrupted in ways it has not been in decades.

Our agencies are working hard to navigate these tribulations, even as staggering challenges are beginning to mount across our sector.

We know our agencies will lead with purpose, urgency, kindness, and care for all in need. But we know our community will have to stand with our agencies, too: Our agencies won’t be able to do this without staggering support in return.

We are proud to be members of the Columbus Region. It’s time to come together like never before, even as we need to withdraw from one another’s company to serve the public good.

We each have to take care of ourselves, and of one another, to get through this moment.

And we will.
