We are grateful to our bipartisan Congressional delegation for their support of the imperfect but imperative stimulus legislation which was signed into law yesterday.
This bill prevents calamities on top of the many calamities we all continue to navigate by ensuring critical unemployment benefits, support of SNAP, child care, and eviction-prevention measures. Furthermore, funds to improve and expand testing and vaccination will uniquely benefit our nonprofit members, and the people they serve.
As President-Elect Biden has noted, much more stimuli will be required in the months ahead, and we will continue pressing for direct supports for health and human services nonprofits to strengthen the services our community needs through this tumultuous time.
